Florally Yours

There's just something about Kangaroo Paw flowers that appeals. They're not the stereotypical flower, the colours are brilliant and especially in this photo, they really stand out.

Paws for a break

There are bunches of Scotch Thistle along the foot path that runs along the rivulet. When they're in flower like this the purple and green really stand out

Took this from my garage during a down pour. I love the look of rain drops as they collect and hang from the leaves.

A moment in the rain

While I was out an about the bees were taking advantage of a break in the weather to gather pollen from some of the perennial flowers around the place.

Not sure of what sort of flower this is, but it is certainly vibrant

Red amongst the green

The flowers are flowering and that means the Bees have to be beeing.

This little plant has been outside through storms and droughts and just keeps on keeping on

The stubborn succulent

A test of the zoom on the new lens. This flame tree sits a fair distance from my backyard, but the detail is pretty good.
